random recipes #30 - the round-up



... what a month July has been eh?... it seems we've all been extremely busy bee's so I truly appreciate all these lovely entries to help me celebrate my 30th edition of random recipes all the more... as always you have not disappointed... so let's kick off with one of my favourite bloggers, Karen from Lavender and Lovage and her Spinach and Poached Egg Muffins taken from page 30 of her 30th book the Weight Watchers Pure Points Cookbook...

and next is Victoria from A Kick at the Pantry Door with some Aztec Cookies taken from the 30th recipe from The Great British Bake Off - How to turn everyday bakes into showstoppers... which clearly Victoria achieved!


here's lovely Gill from Tales of Pigling Bland with a stunningly dark and rich Banana Oat Bread taken from Favourite Recipes from Hestercombe's Tea Rooms


next is Claire from Under the Blue Gum Tree and even though the summer is in full swing, the first of a few soups... with an absolutely beautiful Cambodian Green Fish Soup taken from the 30th page of Rick Steins Far East Odyssey 


next up is the lard-tastic Fiona from TIFFIN with these totally glorious and not in any way naughty Quesadillas San Luis taken from the 30th page in Mexican Cookery by Lourdes Nichols


here's the mushroom hating Caroline from Caroline Makes and some rather naughty Shortbread Squares with Chocolate Fudge and Marshmallow Topping taken from the mushroom-free Tea With Bea.


and on to another stunner from Choclette from the Chocolate Log Blog with a Rhubarb and Rose Polenta Cake taken from Forever Nigella via her 30th book on website Eat Your Books 


it may all be a big conspiracy but here's Chris from Cooking Around the World and some Potted Cheese taken from the very un-cheesy The Perfect Afternoon Tea Book


next along is Debby from Cooking Up a Storm in a Teacup with some gorgeous Indian Sweet Potato Pancakes taken from page 30 of Miss Dahl's Voluptuous Delights

and next up is Carol from Eat Slurp Burp with some rather unusual but still fabulous Sorbet Tomatoes taken from page 30 of her 30th cookbook The Great Garlic Cookbook


it's Extraordinary Salad time over at Gary's blog Exploits of a Food Nut with this rather wonderful Spinach Salad with Dates and Almonds taken from page 30 of Jerusalem by Ottolenghi 


sometimes the stuff that seems so ordinary and often ignored in cookbooks can actually be really rather wonderful as Stacy from the brilliant Food Lust People Love found out when she made these Mushrooms Provencal found in Simply French Food by Richard Olney


next up is Laura from I'd Much Rather Bake Than... another random recipes virgin, with a sweet recipe for Chocolate Shortbread Fingers taken from The Great British Book of Baking by Linda Collister

and here we have Fiona from Let Them Eat Cake and more naughtiness with this Cookie Dough Marshmallow taken from the 30th page of the appropriately titled The Cookie Dough's Lovers Cookbook!


you'd better look fast because here's Lola and Finn's Mum with some delightfully more-ish Salami Tarts taken from the 31st page of Totally Simple Food by Jill Dupleix


next up Denise from Magnolia Verandah with a simple classic and original Dr. Bircher Muesli taken from The Food I Love - Beautiful Simple Food to Cook at Home by Neil Perry


Ruth from Makey-Cakey is feeling pretty virtuous with this Nutty Savoury Oat Slice taken from Great Little Cookbooks, Wholefood Cooking ... and you can see why... 


next up is Elizabeth from Law Students Cookbooks with a very sweet Roasted Garlic Hummus that she's served with a stunning burger, taken from The Mixer Bible and book that came free with her KitchenAid Mixer!


I thought i'd slip my very own random recipes entry in here somewhere... it's a rather bloody good chocolate caramel salted-popcorn ice-cream taken from page 30 of  Fat by Jennifer mcLagan


next up is another soup this time from The Foodie Couple with their take on a Mulligatawny Soup taken from James Martin's Slow Cooking


and now here's Jane from Onions and Paper with a simply beautiful (but excruciatingly time consuming) Asparagus with Poached Egg taken from Jason Atherton's Maze - The Cookbook... i'd also like to take this opportunity to with Jane a speedy recovery... x


here's the amazing Susan from The Spice Garden with another 'not-summer soup' recipe... a Zuppe di Pesce taken from The North End Italian Cookbook


next along the random recipes bandwagon is Lou from Please Do Not Feed The Animals who proudly counts this 30th submission as her 30th submission having played along since the very beginning and never missing a single edition... i'd hand out a blue peter style badge if I had one... this month she randomly selected the stunning Roast Figs Sugar Snow by Diana Henry as her 30th cookbook with a recipe for A Salad of Pear, Hazelnuts and Blue Cheese


next up is Jack from The Knight of the Round Table and a Cappuccino Pavlova taken from Nigellisima 


and now yet another random recipes virgin, this time from Rachel from My Life In Knitwear with a stunning recipe for Chocolate Cupcakes with a Rose Marshmallow topping taken from Sweet Paris by Michael Paul


here's Sally the Recipe Junkie with some very Posh Poached Eggs taken from page 30 of Leon - Family and Friends 


and yet another random recipes virgin to throw into the fire... it's Jane from Fromage Homage and this yummy Baked Cheese, Ham and Spinach Pancake taken from Rick Stein's Food Heroes


here's a rare but very welcome entry from lovely Scrumptious Sally with a glorious plateful of Maple and Walnut Scones taken from Baked, New Frontiers in Baking


and next is Vanesther from Bangers and Mash with a wonderfully simple but very tasty recipe for Bacon Kebabs taken from Good Foods: 101 Cheap Eats


and finally to round off this excellent round-up is Lyndsey from Vanilla Clouds and Lemon Drops with another soup dish to make us all happy... it's Nigella's Happiness Soup taken from Forever Summer


oh and this last minute entry that I must have let slip past my random recipes trawler net... its a very sophisticated dish of Rabbit Curry with Eggs from lovely Solange at Pebble Soup
